UAPs Appear Real: Increasing Evidence

This is a rapidly developing story.

There is increasing evidence that Unidentified Anomolous Phenomena (UAP), the updated and generalized term for UFOs, are real and that major governments around the world know it. In fact, as you go deeper down this particular rabit hole, it starts to seem that almost every bizarre thing you’ve heard about them is true, too. For instance, that the U.S. government has (multiple) recovered vehicles, is actively attempting to reverse-engineer the technology, and even has alien bodies. What these non-human intelligent beings want with us, if anything, remains mysterious – at least to most of us.

I know this has always been tin foil hat whacko stuff – but no longer. If you want to know more – and, warning, much about this topic is quite shocking – peruse the links below in the Introductory Media section. Check out all of those and you might start to feel the “ontological shock” that whistle-blower David Grusch refers to.

We’re not in a situation (if we ever were) where the only people we’re hearing from are individual private “UFOlogists” or “experiencers.” Most of the witnesses you’ll hear from below are sober government and military officials and what they’re saying is remarkably consistent.

As you approach this topic, note that it appears that there are currently different factions within the U.S. government that want different things. A core constituency still wants these things kept secret (even from presidents) while an increasing number of former military and government officials are coming out and telling what they can without violating their security clearances and going to jail. As I write, there’s a struggle going on – so you will hear contradictory things from different sources. For instance, the military office known as AARO, despite being created by congress in order to facilitate disclosure, seems to be infiltrated by the former group. Their report released in early 2024 was a piece of crap that could have been written by a high-schooler.

Introductory Media

New York Times Coverage:
Glowing Auras and ‘Black Money’: The Pentagon’s Mysterious U.F.O. Program, a New York Times article from 2017, was the first coauthored by Leslie Kean (below) and has been called the beginning of the modern & mainstream interest and revelations regarding UAP. Unfortunately, the article is available only to subscribers. (Since the Times is often a source of propaganda regarding U.S. foreign policy, intelligence, and war and peace issues, I don’t recommend subscribing!)
Here’s a more recent article that we do have access to by Kean and one of her co-authors, Ralph Blumenthal, from The Debrief.

60 Minutes:
The following 60 Minutes segment is, reportedly, their most popular ever. From 2021:

Congressional Hearings:
On July 26, 2023, a U.S. congressional committee held a public hearing on UAPs with three military witnesses, one of which is the whistle-blower mentioned above. The other two have had direct encounters with UAP. Here’s the whole thing on youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Glw76YKuWCY
You’ll note that the matter is bipartisan, one of the rare topics that is. Reportedly, other hearings and activity is happening in congress that isn’t public.
On November 13th, 2024, another public hearing was held with four more witnesses.

Documentaries:
The Phenomenon is a (pardon me) phenomenal documentary which is now available for free. It’s an excellent overview of many of the most important encounters of the 20th century featuring military people, police, civilians, and children. Each segment could be a documentary of its own and you can search for plenty of additional material on each incident. I’m looking into purchasing James Fox’s other films. I honestly don’t know how someone could watch this and not understand that these things are real.
The UFO Phenomenon, a 2021 documentary from Australian channel 7 is good.
National Geographic has done a series on UAPs that are reasonably good.

Colonel Karl Nell tells it like it is:
In this terse 20 minute interview in front of a live audience, Col. Nell clearly and unambiguously states the facts as he sees or knows them as an insider. He has “zero doubt.” Newsweek quotes The Debrief, “Nell worked with [David] Grusch on the National Reconnaissance Office’s UAP Task Force from 2021 to 2022.”

Books:
Some I’ve read that are worth reading include those by Leslie Kean and Lue Elizondo. See their entries under Individuals to Watch, below. I’ve read that the book, UFOs and Nukes, is chock full of reports and of high quality but I haven’t read it yet.

Congress & Legislation

A bipartisan official UAP Caucus has been formed in Congress. Their page is pretty interesting. Other Senators and Representatives are involved. These are not (just) the crazies we all know are in Congress. Check out this list.

They are trying to pass a UAP Disclosure Act (UAPDA), sometimes called the “Schumer Amendment” – yes, Sen. Chuck Schumer – to force public disclosure of what some government departments are hiding. This news article from The Hill discusses the matter. Ask yourself why otherwise sane (and self-serving) politicians would produce and promote such legislation, potentially ruining their reputations, if there wasn’t considerable motivation.

Public congressional hearings are linked above. Meanwhile, much reportedly happens behind the scenes and in so-called Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SKIFs) where Congress people can be briefed on classified matters.

Media Outlets That Cover UAP

At the moment, only certian media outlets are willing to cover this story. Here are some of the better ones so you can keep informed going forward.

NewsNation – Ross Coulthart, Chris Cuomo, and others at NewsNation are not afraid to cover this issue.
The Hill will also report on UAP-related stories.
Weaponized podcast – Produced by UAP old hand, George Knapp along with relative newcomer, Jeremy Corbell. (See below.)
Joe Rogan podcast – Say what you like about Rogan (and I may agree with you) but he’s at least doing justice to this issue. His long-form interviews with some of the legendary figures (e.g., Bob Lazar) are not to be missed. (Personally, among other things, I wish he’d shut up about his own opinions and let the guests talk more.) He has interviews of many of the individuals mentioned here.
Breaking Points & Rising – These shows have UAP stories as developments arise. Breaking Points, especially, is an excellent source of political commentary which is not beholden to the major parties (absolutely necessary in today’s world to understand anything that’s going on). Recommended. Each show has “left” and “right” commentators but not Democratic or Republican ones.
The Debrief has regular stories on UAP.
The UAP Caucus has a news roundup page.

Individuals to Watch

You may see some of these people in the videos above or in your own research. They are serious reporters, researchers, podcasters, “experiencers”, whistle-blowers, etc.., who are important in the field and worth listening to. The reporters have been working the UAP beat for some time and are not nutty.

Please note: I do not necessarily endorse all of their opinions (some I passionately disagree with on other subjects) but they nevertheless each have produced what I think is valuable UAP-related material or testimony.

Leslie Kean – A serious reporter who’s been covering UAP for 2 decades. She’s co-author of the 2017 front page New York Times article linked above. Her 2010 book, UFOs: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials Go on the Record does what it says. It has chapters written by military and government officials about their experiences and encounters. It provides good background on the topic. (ie, It’s not just whackos talking about this.) You’ll see her interviewed in several of the videos above.
Ross Coulthart – Coulthart, an Austrailian reporter who has worked for their equivalent of 60 Minutes (and produced our 60 Minutes episode above) has broken important UAP stories and continues to cover the topic weekly with his program Reality Check. Ross broke the story with whistle-blower David Grusch. See that complete interview here (excerpted in the 60 Minutes episode).
George Knapp – George is the original UFO reporter. He was a TV reporter in Nevada and broke the Bob Lazar story (see below) on his station. He’s still at it and cohosts the Weaponized podcast with Jeremy Corbell.
Jeremy Corbell – Corbell is sort of the newcomer/amateur reporter/UFOlogist on this list. Nevertheless, he’s been working on it for many years and is very plugged in at this point though he does rub some people the wrong way. He’s been working with congress to set up hearings. You’ll see him and George Knapp behind the witnesses in the July 2023 public hearing linked above and he’s facilitated a number of the UAP-related Rogan podcasts.
Joe Rogan – Think what you will about Rogan. Can’t say I’m comfortable with him myself. However, he continues to give this topic a good airing. He’s had many of the people on this list on his podcast and those episodes are worth watching.
Michael Shellenberger – Reporter working the UAP beat who continues to release breaking UAP-related stories. He testified in the November, 2024, House hearing.
Bob Lazar -Lazer is the original “Area 51” supposed whistle-blower. He has consistently maintained for 35 years that he worked on attempting to reverse-engineer actual UAP craft held by the US government in Area 51 in Nevada. Some believe Lazar and some do not and some of his history is quite sketchy. Today, he owns this little retail company from which you can order downright hazardous and barely-legal scientific supplies such as radioactive substances and a few items related to his UAP experiences. Joe Rogan has a podcast with him and Jeremy Corbell.
Lue Elizondo – Lue ditched his career as a military intelligence officer in order to bring the knowledge of UAP and non-human intelligence (NHI) to the American people. He’s suffered a great deal as a result. His recent book is Imminent: Inside the Hunt for UFOs, which I’ve read.

* Fascinatingly, if you put together what Lazar says with what Elizondo has written in his book about UFO shapes and technologies, it “explains” why these particular shapes and other characteristics are commonly observed!

Media to Avoid

Programs produced by the History Channel are of low quality and some seems to be downright fiction.

There’s lots of crap out there – on any topic. The UAP issue is worse than many. You can stick with the sources I recommend to avoid most of it.
